2-night/3-day hike to Silver Lake, via the Mount Townsend trail, with my 83 year old Dad! How awesome is that! We had a wonderful time. You might notice some back-tracking. First instance, at 0.5 miles into the inbound hike I had to return to the truck to put the USFS pass in the window, oop! Other times were when I'd hike ahead a bit, drop my pack, return to Dad, take his pack and hike for a bit to give him a breather. Hence the inbound trail length is a few miles longer than the actual trail.
